I am a doctor, a mum, a passionate cook and healthy living believer.  I come from an Indian background where food has always been a huge part of my life.  I started helping in the kitchen at a young age and have been independently cooking from age 10.  I genuinely love creating recipes, using ingredients to expand my children’s tastes and encouraging them to form healthy relationships with food from an early age.  I believe food doesn’t need to be expensive or complicated to be healthy and delicious.  I believe in using good wholesome ingredients.

I am passionate about health & nutrition.  I want to inspire and motivate families and children to eat well and cook family friendly meals together every day.

I am a fully qualified doctor for over 15 years.  I am also currently studying a nutrition diploma which I will complete in December 2019.

I have worked as a General Practitioner in London for the last 12 years.  I work with families and children and see a need for family friendly food that is easy to make and enjoyable to eat by the whole family.  I often meet parents who struggle to encourage their children to eat nutritious meals.  They often find themselves cooking separate meals for their children.  I want to empower these families to cook together and make quick, easy, cheap recipes at home the whole family can enjoy.

I am a mum of two boys aged 9 and 6.  Both have been fussy eaters and I have learnt tactics and tricks to encourage them both to eat well and try new foods.

This is why I created Dr Chintal’s kitchen …a recipe journal of what is cooking in my kitchen every day.  A doctor’s guide to everyday eating made quick, easy & nutritious for you and your family. My recipes all focus on good healthy eating, no fads, no diets, no restrictions, everything in moderation and ‘treats’ allowed.  In essence, how to eat a balanced diet as a family and encourage your children to grow up with good eating habits.

My aim is to empower families to throw away processed food and make wholesome meals at home, quickly and efficiently.  As a working mum, I appreciate the fact that busy parents don’t have time or want to make separate meals for their children.  Many of the recipes have been developed to allow children to get involved in the kitchen, encouraging them to form a healthy relationship with food from a young age.

However, my website is not just for parents; all the recipes can be used by anyone.  In the explanation and photos I show you how you can tweak just one or two ingredients or the presentation of your meal to make it more child friendly
